Glucosamine /kg

GLUCOSAMINE is a glucose molecule bound to the amino acid glutamine, and it is found in almost all body tissues.  It is one of the most significant compounds in the synthesis of cartilage which contains one of the highest concentrations of glucosamine in the body.  It enhances the level of glycosaminoglycans (GAG’S) in the joint.

These GAG’S are the ‘building blocks’ in the cartilage matrix. Glucosamine HCl will increase the Hyaluronate content in the joint. Hyaluronate is a fundamental component of Synovial fluid – the joint lubricant.

Glucosamine is effective in relieving pain, sometimes in as short a time as 10 to 14 days. Studies have shown that it can slow cartilage breakdown and may encourage healing.

Glucosamine is idea for the older horse who is sore or stiff in the muscles and joints. Is most suitable for all equine and canine species.
